History and overview
Rus ‘n Bietjie Home for the Elderly was officially opened by Minister F.W. de Klerk on the 15th November 1978 whom then served in the portfolio for Welfare and Pensions. Rus ‘n Bietjie formed part of the Dutch Reform Church during those years. We are now included in the Tutela umbrella; however, our Home are administered individually through a Body Governing. Rus ‘n Bietjie is a Section 21 Company that has been registered as a Non-Profit Organisation not for gain.
We are controlled by a Governing Board comprising of professional and
businesspersons who provide expertise and guidance to a full time employed
management whom manages the day-to-day operation of Rus ‘n Bietjie.
